King Sweyn Forkbeard and Me in Oxford Castle

We visited Oxford at the weekend and climbed a Saxon tower that had enormous bells in it, but they are not allowed to ring them as the tower would collapse. but there was model that worked.

Then we went to Oxford castle where Sweyn Forkbeard showed us round and told us all about Matilda who escaped by climbing down one of hte towers and skated up the river Thames to Abbingdone and then walked backwards to get on her horse to escape being captured.

Cousins and ghost hunting

Ghost busting with our cousins in Oxfordshire. We found loads of really old headstones of really old dead people. There was even one grave where it had broken and we tried to see the bones inside, but it was too dark.

There was even a grave of an 11 year old girl. That was a bit sad.

Queen of the Surf!!!!

This summer I went to Cornwall and had an amazing time. We went to many different beaches and at one beach it was so windy that you couldn't actually walk upright. Loads of kite surfers came to fly over the waves. On another beach we kayaked and I tried Paddleboarding, which I found a bit tricky. We spent many days bodyboarding in the waves. I am Queen of theSurf !

Bonjour!!

In the holiday's we went to France to stay at our friends house, they had a massive paddling pool.We had a great time. We made camps like we always do !We go there every year.We had masses of fun.One day we went to dadongs house for the swimpics!

Olympic Fencing - En garde! ...... Allez

On Saturday 28th July, we went to the Excel Stadium to see the fencing. Dad bought us loads of treats and the English National Ballet company did a small show with ballerinas dancing with the fencing swords. It was beautiful. There were 3 Italians and 1 small girl from South Korea. The Italians won the Gold Silver and Bronze. The noise inside the stadium was incredible.

Mr Fox

My friend Jess was in this production this summer,it was really fun!!!! Unfortunately, it rained on the day we saw it. My favourite part was was when Mr Porcupine and Miss Hedgehog met and fell in love. The actress that played Mrs Fox, really did look like a fox with her auburn hair!!

RAGTIME!

On the 1st of August I went to see RAGTIME at Regents Park Theatre! Ragtime is a type of music! The production was great, it was also sad because the man and the woman died after they tried to fight to get a good life. My favourite part was when a poor man and his little girl became rich and a film director at the end.

WARHORSE!

I went to see Warhorse on the 2nd of August ,we had soooooooo much fun. The horses were amazingly gigantic puppets and they galloped around the stage with people on their backs. My favourite part was when Joey the horse and the boy find each other again at the end! I cried when they nearly killed Joe!

GHOST THE MUSICAL!

On the 6th of August I went to go and see Ghost the musical! It was very sad and mummy cried a lot. It was awesome because I liked the way they managed to make it look like a ghost was in the room with Carl, the baddie. The special effects were brilliant!
